Getting there

The journey to paradise

It's a three-leg trip from the UK. The clearer the plan, the smoother the adventure — here's the route we recommend.

I

UK → Cebu

A long-haul flight into Mactan–Cebu (CEB). This will need a layover via Singapore, Dubai, Doha or Hong Kong, depending on the airline you choose — around 17–19 hours.

II

Cebu → Busuanga

A short domestic flight (~1.5 hrs) to Francisco B. Reyes Airport (USU) with Philippine Airlines. Mind the 10kg baggage limit on the base fare — ensure you upgrade to 20kg and add any additional checked in baggage before you fly to avoid higher airport fees.

III

Busuanga → Island

Resort staff will meet you at the airport arrivals — a 45-min shuttle to the port, then a 30-min speedboat to Discovery Coron. Your environmental fee is already covered by Discovery Coron, so you can skip that queue at the airport.

Important — Coast Guard are unable to complete the island boat transfer after 16:00PM, due to sea levels by the port. Aim for a morning flight that lands around midday so you arrive with a comfortable buffer.
AirlineConnectionTypical travel time
Singapore AirlinesSingapore~17–18 hrs
Cathay PacificHong Kong~17–18 hrs
Qatar AirwaysDoha~18 hrs
EmiratesDubai~18–19 hrs
Book early — Our date falls over the Easter weekend — a peak time. Seats release around 330–355 days ahead, so aim to book in May–June 2027 for the best fares.
Price-conscious guests — There are more affordable airlines instead of the above suggestions, such as Swiss, Malaysia Airlines and the China-based airlines. Though the experience may be a little less comfortable and the layovers less seamless.
Why you should not fly to Manila — We'd suggest flying into Cebu rather than Manila (the capital): there are direct flights from Cebu to the Discovery Coron Island, whereas Manila requires an extra layover.

What to wear

Beach Formal Dress Code

Elegant but breathable — think linen and cotton blends, refined summer colours, and footwear that copes with sand: wedges, block heels, dress sandals or loafers. Both the ceremony and reception are right on the beach.

Kindly, no white, ivory or cream dresses for the Welcome Meal & Wedding Day — those are reserved for the bride.

With love

A note on gifts

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for.

Should you wish to celebrate with a gift, we would be incredibly grateful for a contribution towards our honeymoon and the future we're building together. Your generosity will help us create unforgettable memories on our first adventure as a married couple and support us as we begin this exciting new chapter.

Thank you for your love, kindness and generosity — we can't wait to celebrate with you.

RSVP — kindly respond here Will you join us?

Kindly respond by 1 July 2027

Because we're celebrating on a small private island, space is genuinely limited — so every reply matters more than usual. We'd be so grateful if you could accept only when you're confident you can make the journey, and let us know either way by 1 July 2027. Should your plans change after you've replied, please tell us as soon as you can, so we can offer your place to another loved one.

Fields marked * are required.

Thank you — your RSVP is in!

We've received your response and couldn't be more delighted. We'll be in touch with any further details closer to the day.

Frequently asked

Want to make the most of your trip? +

If you're planning to explore more of the Philippines before or after the wedding, here are a few of the Philippines' popular tourist destinations:

  • Moalboal (Cebu) – Famous for canyoneering, swimming with millions of sardines, and whale shark encounters. Around a 3-hour drive from Cebu Airport.
  • El Nido (Palawan) – A laid-back beach town renowned for its island-hopping, hidden lagoons, pristine beaches, and vibrant waterfront restaurants and bars. Around a 3.5-hour ferry from Coron, or a 3-day expedition boat tour where you'll stop at remote islands, reefs and beaches along the way.
  • Bohol (Central Philippines) – Home to the iconic Chocolate Hills and adorable tarsiers. Stay in Panglao for beautiful beaches and some of the country's best diving.
  • Siquijor (Central Philippines) – A peaceful island known for its waterfalls, quiet beaches, and relaxed atmosphere, just a short ferry ride from Bohol.
  • Siargao (Northeastern Philippines) – The Philippines' surfing capital, offering a lively social scene, incredible island-hopping, and fantastic snorkelling.

Whichever you choose, you'll experience some of the incredible beauty the Philippines has to offer.

What can you do on Discovery Coron Island? +

Whether you're looking to unwind or explore, there's plenty to enjoy during your stay:

  • Snorkelling – Discover vibrant coral reefs and tropical marine life just off the beach.
  • Kayaking – Paddle through the calm, crystal-clear waters surrounding the island.
  • Diving – Explore world-renowned dive sites, including coral gardens and historic shipwrecks.
  • Hiking – Take the scenic trail to the island's highest viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views.
  • Morning Yoga – Start your day with a peaceful yoga session overlooking the ocean.
  • Relax on the Beach – Unwind on the resort's pristine white-sand beach.
  • Swimming Pools – Choose from two beautiful pools, each offering a tranquil place to relax.
  • Glow Spa – Indulge in a massage, facial, or other rejuvenating spa treatments.
  • Fitness Centre – Stay active with the resort's fully equipped gym.
  • Nature & Wildlife – Keep an eye out for the island's native wildlife and lush tropical surroundings.
  • Island Tours – Explore nearby islands, hidden lagoons, beaches, and Coron Bay on guided excursions.
Are children invited? +
We'd love children at the island and the welcome dinner — but the ceremony and reception are adults-only. Trusted island childcare can be arranged in your room for the evening; just let us know.
Can I bring a plus-one? +
To keep things intimate, we're only able to invite the guests named on the invitation. Thank you for understanding.
Do I need a visa? +
UK passport holders can currently visit visa-free for tourism up to 30 days. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date, and check the latest guidance before travelling.
Vaccinations & insurance? +
Please see your GP or travel clinic in good time (Hepatitis A and Typhoid are commonly discussed; check your tetanus/diphtheria/polio cover). We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for a long-haul, remote trip.
How can I protect against mosquitoes & insect bites? +
Bring an insect repellent containing 20–50% DEET, plus after-bite cream and antihistamine tablets if you tend to react. Apply sun cream first, then repellent over the top. Many people associate mosquitoes with the evening, but plenty of species bite during the day too — so it's worth staying protected at all times.
What's the time difference & weather? +
The Philippines is 7 hours ahead of the UK in April (UTC+8, no daylight saving). April is dry season — hot, humid and largely sunny.
What currency & payment should I plan for? +
The Philippine Peso (₱). The resort takes card payment, but cash tips are welcome for resort staff. Please bring cash if you're extending your trip elsewhere in the Philippines and visiting different locations — cash is used far more than card for tourist activities and eating out.
What about WiFi & staying connected? +
The resort has WiFi, but we recommend setting up an eSIM if you'll be visiting other locations in the Philippines. First check whether your provider includes the Philippines in your roaming package; if not, an eSIM is an inexpensive alternative — Airalo, Nomad or Holafly. Install the app before you fly and activate it on arrival.
What plug adapters are needed? +
Type A — two flat parallel pins (the same as the U.S.) — or Type B, two flat parallel pins with a grounding pin. The Philippines runs on 220V, so check your devices are dual-voltage.
